Today American Consulates around the world will begin to open for routine visa services depending on local conditions.
The Department of State announced that reopening of the consulates will be based on many factors and will be in phases. Also, the services offered by each post may differ based on the ability to safely concerns. The Department of State states that persons go directly the the consular posts' website to see if the post is open and what services will be offered.
Tentatively the following post are starting to schedule appointments for immigrant visas. A few posts are scheduling appointment for L-1 visas only. (Please visit the consular post website for updated information.)

- Israel (Jerusalem)
- United Kingdom (London)
- El Salvador
- Jamaica
- Japan
- Vietnam (HCMC)
Even with consular post openings and visa issuance there are still many restrictions on entry to the United States based on public health and economic consideration related to COVID-19.
